GIMME FIVE: Women in film wishes for Cinefilles’ fifth birthday!

It may be hard to believe, but Cinefilles is turning the big 0-5! That’s five years of reviews, articles, interviews, features and amazing opportunities to connect with our fellow female pop culture junkies in an effort to showcase girl-powered film commentary.

So far this year we’ve made a few big changes, including our expansion to include TV coverage. We’ve also revised the site’s mandate to focus specifically on the role of women in entertainment, bringing you even more great coverage of the girls and women (both fictional and IRL) whose strong voices and creative visions are shaping what we see and want to see on screen.

To celebrate five years of doing what we love and sharing it with all of you, we’re blowing out the candles and making a few birthday wishes for women in entertainment.

1. Equal pay for women and their male co-stars
