WE WISH WE WERE SEEING
- THE STRANGE COLOUR OF YOUR BODY’S TEARS: Inspired by 1970s giallo horror movies? We’re sold. Gory, quirky and bold, we’re not even really sure what this movie is about. It’s mysterious and it’s got us thinking about Dario Argento, and that works for us. (6:00 p.m., The Bloor Hot Docs Cinema)
- THE ART OF THE STEAL: According to TIFF, the cast for this film is “dynamite,” but truth be told, we’re most excited about Jay Baruchel. If you couldn’t tell from the title, it’s a crime movie. Comedy or drama, it’s not quite clear, but let’s play it safe and say that it seems like a dramedy. (9:30 p.m, Roy Thompson Hall)
- A RANDOM DESI ROMANCE: This one’s for Bollywood fans. Written by the same writer who penned the critically-acclaimed Chak De! India, this movie is whole-heartedly about love. (Not that every other Bollywood movie isn’t…) (6:00 p.m, Roy Thompson Hall)
